This year, Kloia facilitated the deployment of Kloian’s to Bali with the objective of reinforcing Kloia's remote working culture and enhancing the employee experience. Kloia’s company culture always adheres to the motto "work from anywhere, anytime."
Bali, with its natural beauty, cultural diversity, and tranquil atmosphere, proved to be an ideal location for our three-week work and exploration trip. This experience demonstrated the immense potential of the "work from anywhere, anytime" concept.
Upon Kloian’s arrival in Bali on the first day, Kloian’s were greeted by warm tropical air and a cordial welcome. The villa was a haven of tranquility, nestled amidst verdant foliage and offering a vast swimming pool, sumptuous furnishings, and even a private chauffeur. Gade, our driver, was well-versed in the island's geography, ensuring seamless transportation. (We were unable to ascertain Gade's preferred musical selection, but this is a matter for another occasion.)
The villa which Kloian’s accommodate is a high level of luxury, with all cleaning and breakfast service provided by dedicated housekeepers. The villa also included a laundry service, which was a convenient additional feature. The prices were competitive, and the service was excellent.
In the mornings, we woke up to watch the sunrise and then set out to explore Bali's magical temples or artisan markets. We walked through rice paddies and strolled along stunning beaches. Thanks to the time difference, we spent our mornings exploring and our evenings working. As we worked, our thoughts seemed to flow more freely; perhaps Bali's tranquil air had something to do with it.
Bali's sunset views are an essential component of the island's alluring ambience. In particular, the temple-dotted landscapes of Alas Harum evoke the beauty of Temple Run. The impressive cliffs of Uluwatu offer unparalleled ocean vistas and are ideal for observing the sunset. Seminyak is renowned for its lively beaches and vibrant nightlife, while Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali, captivates visitors with its art galleries, craft shops, and lush forests. Canggu is the preferred destination for surfers and café aficionados. These regions exemplify the diverse facets of Bali, offering countless opportunities for both exploration and relaxation. One day, you could be practising yoga in the peaceful surroundings of Ubud, and the next, you could be surfing the waves in Canggu. The variety and sense of freedom are what make every moment in Bali special. However, be careful not to become too attached to those sunset views, colors, and the overall atmosphere, as you might fall in love with them and miss out on other experiences.
Of course, a trip to Bali wouldn't be complete without experiencing its renowned massages. Bali's natural beauty and cultural richness are matched by its renowned massages. After a long workday or a day of exploring, a massage in Bali is the perfect way to relax both body and mind.
When we had our first massage, we immediately felt the stress and fatigue melt away. Traditional Balinese massage techniques range from deep tissue to aromatherapy. As a team, we opted for massages with Bali's unique aromatic oils, and it was a highly satisfactory experience. Whether on the beach with a sea breeze or in a tranquil spa, massage can be enjoyed in a variety of settings.
Many team members have commented that their massage sessions were exactly what they needed. After the massage, both our minds and bodies felt refreshed, and we were ready to resume our activities in Bali. Massages in Bali are not just relaxation sessions; they are an integral part of the island's cultural heritage. I would highly recommend setting aside an hour to experience one for yourself.
Naturally, after our massages, we couldn't resist sampling the tropical fruits that are a staple of Balinese cuisine. The island's fruit is an integral part of daily life, with an astonishing variety on offer. Whether it's breakfast, a midday snack, or just a treat, fresh tropical fruits are always within reach.
A visit to Bali's vibrant fruit markets is an experience in itself. In these markets, where colors and scents intertwine, you can find a wide range of fruits, from strawberries to coconuts, papayas to dragon fruit. Dragon fruit and mangosteen are among the island's most popular fruits, and their juicy, sweet flavors create a tropical festival in your mouth.
What's more, these fruits are not only delicious but also healthy. Bali's famous young coconut, with its refreshing water straight from the shell, is the ideal way to cool off in the heat while reaping the benefits of vitamins and minerals. Mangoes and pineapples are another Bali pride point; they are so juicy and sweet that they do not even compare to those from other places.
In short, Bali's fruit variety is as rich and impressive as the island's other beauties. These fresh and vibrant fruits, available year-round, serve as a testament to Bali's allure and generosity.
We now move on to one of our most popular activities, ATV tours. As we raced through Bali's natural beauty, we all felt like kids again, shouting "One more time, one more time!" as we zipped through the forest trails, got a little wet, and had the time of our lives. If we'd had more time, we'd definitely have gone back for more.
Finally, we would be remiss if we did not mention Luwak coffee, which is a must-try for anyone visiting Bali. While it is the most expensive coffee in the world, it is definitely worth the experience. We were somewhat surprised by the price, but we enjoyed the coffee.
Bali is home to a great deal of biodiversity, not just in terms of landscapes, but also in the animal kingdom. Monkeys are a common sight in the forests and around the temples. The Ubud Monkey Forest is home to a variety of monkeys, some of which are known for their playful antics. While these creatures are undoubtedly charming, it is important to exercise caution and keep a close eye on your belongings.
Bali is home to a number of impressive animals, including elephants. These majestic creatures can be seen on safari tours around the island. There are various ways to interact with these majestic creatures without causing them harm, allowing visitors to observe their gentleness in their natural habitat. Being in the presence of these gentle giants is both peaceful and awe-inspiring, a reminder of nature's beauty and power.
It is also worth noting that Bali is home to a diverse range of reptiles. Komodo dragons, with their impressive size and imposing presence, are a particular highlight for nature enthusiasts. In contrast, lizards can be found in a wide variety of habitats and are typically harmless. They play an important role in maintaining the ecosystem's health.
Bali is not only a place of cultural and natural beauty, but also home to a vibrant array of wildlife. One day, you might be watching energetic monkeys swinging through the trees, and the next, you could be walking alongside an elephant or encountering exotic reptiles. Bali is a paradise for nature and animal lovers, with endless opportunities to explore and connect with the wild side of life.
“The Kloia Villa event was not just a work trip; it was a team-building experience.”
While exploring Bali's beauty, we also managed to complete our work. This demonstrated the potential for a harmonious combination of work and vacation. Whether it was temple visits, night gatherings by the pool, or business meetings in the villa, everything came together to create an unforgettable experience. We are now looking forward to our next destination. Please advise on the next destination.
